Overview

Springfield, MN has not adopted the MN State Building Codes per se. However, the City of Springfield, MN's Code of Ordinances Chapter 5 (Building Regulations and Licenses) § 5.06 (1) (Plumbing Standards) contains language that the MN Plumbing Code effective as of July 16, 1990, would be enforced throughout the City of Springfield MN.  Additionally, § 5.18 (1)  (Electrical Standards) calls for all construction to be accomplished using the current National Electrical Code.
